Recommended glasses

BlyndSyde works through a specific optical trick — and only the right kind of glasses unlock it. Here's what to look for, and the pairs we've tested.

What you need

  • Deep red lenses. Not amber, not light pink, not generic "blue light filter" tints. Only deep red lenses block enough blue and green light for BlyndSyde to keep your screen private.
  • Blocks both blue AND green light. Many "blue light blockers" only filter blue. You need both bands blocked.
  • Worn over your prescription. Wraparound and oversized styles fit comfortably over most existing glasses, so you don't have to choose between privacy and seeing clearly.

Sometimes these are sold as sleep glasses, esports glasses, or insomnia glasses. Whatever the marketing label, what matters is the lens colour and the blue + green block.
